Ringo Starr, the legendary drummer of the iconic rock band, The Beatles, is poised to ignite excitement among fans in New Lenox as he headlines the next installment of the New Lenox Summer Concert Series.

Scheduled for Saturday, September 14th, Ringo Starr will grace the stage at the picturesque New Lenox Commons, accompanied by his esteemed All Starr band, featuring luminaries such as Warren Ham from "Kansas," Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather from "Toto," Hamish Stuart, Colin Hay from "Men At Work," and Gregg Bissonette.

For eager New Lenox residents, tickets will be available starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th, at the convenient location of New Lenox Village Hall on 1 Veterans Parkway. Priced at $90 per ticket, there's an enticing $10 discount incentive for those who secure their seats early by purchasing Smokey Robinson tickets before the May 11th deadline, with each Robinson ticket purchase earning a $10 discount for corresponding Starr tickets. For those with receipts from Robinson ticket purchases, sales will commence at 7 a.m. on the same day.

Should tickets remain after the initial sales frenzy, non-New Lenox residents can snag their chance starting May 13th, Mayor Tim Baldermann confirmed.

Baldermann emphasized the exclusivity of this event, noting the limited availability of 5,000 tickets, ensuring that once they're sold out, there will be no further opportunities to attend.

Ringo Starr's performance marks the continuation of the Village's Summer Concert Series, now rebranded from Triple Play. The series kicks off with the incomparable Smokey Robinson on June 1st, whose recent release, "February Sky," has already captivated audiences.

In addition to his musical prowess, Starr's creative endeavors extend to literature with his latest book, "Beats and Threads," currently open for pre-orders. This captivating volume offers nearly 300 images chronicling Ringo's illustrious life and career, accompanied by his personal narratives, providing an intimate glimpse into his journey.

With a remarkable legacy spanning over four decades, Ringo Starr's influence resonates not only through his 20 solo studio albums and 4 EPs but also through his nine GRAMMY Awards and dual induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Mayor Baldermann underlined the exceptional value of attending Starr's concert, highlighting the unparalleled talent of the musicians comprising his band, making it an unmissable opportunity to witness a true supergroup in action.

For avid fans and music enthusiasts alike, the allure of Ringo Starr's performance promises an unforgettable experience, igniting anticipation and excitement throughout New Lenox and beyond.
